DENIZ AKIN
Deniz Akin is a senior researcher at the Eastern Norway Research Institute, Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences. She has a PhD in gender studies from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Her main research interests include, but not limited to, gender equality, sexuality, queer migration, digital technologies and sharing economy.

SELIN ÇAĞATAY
Selin Çağatay is a postdoctoral researcher in the international project ZARAH: Women’s labour activism in Eastern Europe and transnationally, from the age of empires to the late 20th century at the Department of Gender Studies and Department of History, Central European University, Austria. Her current research concerns gender politics and equality struggles in Turkey from historical and transnational perspectives, with a focus on activist agendas, organizational forms, and political strategies.

MIA LIINASON
Mia Liinason is professor of gender studies at Lund University (Sweden). She is researching transnational feminist and LGBTI+ struggles across different contexts. Mia leads the collaborative research project Spaces of Resistance. A Study of Gender and Sexuality in Times of Transformation.

FAITH MKWESHA
Dr. Faith Mkwesha is a researcher and lecturer at Helsinki University, Swedish School of Social Sciences, CEREN Department, and Gender Studies, Abo Akademi University. She is the founder and director of Sahwira Africa International NGO where she does her activism on racism, anti-racism and representation campaigns. She is also co-ordinating a multicultural and multiracial youth project. They also conduct workshops and seminars on African literature and culture, Decolonising the mind, Diversity and inclusion, Race and racism and Gender in Africa.

OLGA SASUNKEVICH
Olga Sasunkevich is Senior Lecturer in Gender studies at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. For the last four years she has been working in a collaborative research project on transnational feminist and LGBTI+ activism in Russia, Scandinavia, and Turkey. The Feminist and Queer Solidarities beyond Borders is one of the outcomes of this collaboration. Moreover, together with Selin Çağatay and Mia Liinason, she has co-authored the collective monograph “Feminist and LGBTI+ activism in Russia, Scandinavia and Turkey: Transnationalizing Spaces of Resistance” that will be soon published as open access by Palgrave Macmillan.

MINA WIKSHÅLAND SKOUEN
Mina Wikshåland Skouen is Senior Adviser for Equal Rights in the Norwegian Helsinki Committee, where she is working with human rights monitoring and documentation of the situation for women and groups at risk, democracy support and analysis in Eastern and Central Europe.
